Organogram Details


The functioning of the institutional bodies is effective and efficient as visible from policies, administrative set up appointment and service rules, procedures, etc. Describe the Organogram of the institution.

Damdama College, Kulhati is administered by the Government of Assam rules and regulations pertaining to Higher Education Institutions. The Director of Higher Education, Kahilipara, Guwahati-19 formulates policies for higher education institution, to be followed by the College. Based on the need and Policy of Director of Higher Education, the College formulated the Guidelines and Procedures and accordingly approved from the DHE (Assam) through the Governing Body.

The overall planning and development of the institution is made by the Board of Management under the Presidentship of the Governing Body president and it has been locally executed under the directions of the Principal of the College.

The day-to-day administrative affairs of the College are managed by the Academic Committee of the College, in consultation with the Principal, who is the immediate head of the institution and also the Secretary of the Governing Body of the College.

The Principal is the academic head and ensures the proper conduct of academic, research and extension activities.

The Principal is also the Drawing and Disbursal Authority for the College.

 

The Statutory Bodies of the college are constituted and meetings are conducted as per the guidelines of UGC,         MHRD, State Government and Gauhati University.

The Non-statutory Bodies are constituted by the Board of Management to complement the functions of the Statutory Bodies.

The Board of Management nominates other academicians and experts in to the Statutory and Non-Statutory Bodies to strengthen the functioning of the College.

The programs, courses and activities are periodically evaluated by the College and reported in the appropriate Bodies for proper implementation.


There are Committees, Cells and Associations focusing on specific tasks and roles in the College.

The executive leadership is shared with the Vice-Principal, the In- Charge of Examinations, the IQAC Coordinator and all the Heads of the Departments.

There is a written Job Description for each office and given to the officials at the time of appointment.

The Examination-in-Charge compiles all rules and regulations communicate to the College by the University of Gauhati and assist the Principal, the Vice Principal and HODs in the conduct of examinations.

The Public Relations Officer communicates with the public and the press during all important events of the College.

The Management encourages the faculty to participate in various committees and cells of the college. This enhances the leadership qualities and skills.

The Grievance Redressal Committee has been formed for both staff and the students.

 

The power delegation and de-centralization of authority enrich the effective and efficient functioning of the institution in all its spheres of planning, decision-making and implementation. The Management plays a crucial role in enriching the bottom-up approach in planning and execution of various academic activities.
