The Damdama College located in a rural area. The people of the area are mainly the Scheduled Castes. There are also people from Other Backward Castes also. While the institution follows the mandates of the Government reservation policy in admissions of students, it also takes cognizance of the special demographic break up of communities. Consequently, it admits a greater number of students belonging to the Scheduled Castes, over and above the stipulated limit in the general category, provided that such students do not demand scholarships from the Government, through a mandatory declaration towards this end.
