Inter college/ University Debate Competition was organized by Damdama College in association with Jonak Cottonian, 1984-86 Batch in the opinion of the house “Caste Based Reservation has Succeeded in Eradicating Caste Based Inequality and Injustice in India” on 16/03/2024. The speaker of the competition was Dr. Nityananda Kalita (Principal, Puthimari College). Dr. Jintu Gohain (Assistant Professor, Paschim Guwahati College) and Mr. Gopal Barman (Retd. Associate Professor) Department of History, Damdama College was the judge of the competition. Total 16 colleges and Universities participated in the debate competition. The competition was inaugurated by Hon'ble Principal Dr. Suranjan Sarma (Damdama College) lightening of the lamp. The best debater was received by Mr. Sudipta Saikia (J.B. University, Jorhat) and 2nd Best debater was received by Miss Sargam Mukta Alam (Cotton University). the best team for the date competition was received by Sargam Mukta Alam and Upasana Saikia (Cotton University) and 2nd best team prize was received by Sunit Sharma and Gaurab Kashyab (J.B. Law College).
