An awareness program for adolescents and
women’s reproductive age was held at Damdama College on18/03/2026,
organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell and Damdama College Teacher
Association. The program was attended by the principal, teachers, students and
parents. The resource persons of the program were Dr. Hrishikesh Lahkar
and Dr. Saurav Das, Gynecologists at Hajo Civil Hospital. Dr. Lahkar
delivered a fruitful lecture on nutrition and health issues among the students.
He also discussed freely about women’s menstrual hygiene, Menopause,
PCOD and many other women’s health related issues with the female students and
their parents. The students interacted with him by discussing their
health related problems without any hesitation.
