The freshman social for the academic year 2025-26 was held on 5th September, 2025. The program began with the hoisting of the college flag by Shahin Choudhury, the President of the Students' Union. This was followed by the lighting of lamps at the martyrs' memorial. After that an "Antaranga Aalaap" was organised for the senior and junior students. The main event took place after the cultural program.
The program was attended by Dr. Suranjan Sarma, Principal of Damdama College, Pranab Kumar Das, Deputy Controller of Examinations, Gauhati University, and Dr. Dhruba jyoti Sarma, Associate Professor,Department of Zoology , Dimoria College. Both dignitaries delivered inspiring speeches to the students.
During the program, Jyotishma Kakati a student of Education Department was awarded the Best Graduate Award for the year 2025 by Dr. Sabitri Saikia, Retired Professor of the Assamese Department, who donated Rs. 10,000/- for the award in memory of her late husband Dr. Surujit Baruah.
The program concluded with various cultural performances. The ceremony was attended by the Principal, students, faculty members, and other staff of the college.
