On the occasion of International Women’s Day a lecture program was organized on the theme, "Accelerate Action on Gender Equality" by Damdama College Family and Students Union on 8th March, 2025. The Programme was inaugurated by the Principal Sir with his insightful and motivating speech on women's empowerment. The eminent resource persons Mr. Chittaranjan Ojah, S.P.A.P.RO. Guwahati and Mr. Niloy Das, Consultant NRL, Numaligarh was invited for the event . Mr. Ojah delivered a brief lecture on important women's role on society upliftment from the ancient period and Mr. Das talked about women's empowerment in the society through the songs of Bhupen Hazarika. He also sung melodious songs of Bhupen Hazarika. Miss Karina Patowary, Alumni of Damdama College was felicitated on the occasion of women's day for her achievement in Lawn Bowl Championship in National level. All the faculty members and students of Damdama College were present in the programme.
